Litter picking on Wimbledon Common

Have you always fancied being a Womble? Get some practice at the Capital Clean-Up litter pick event on Saturday 9 March from 10am to 1pm, as part of Capital Spring Clean Week.

They’ll be tidying up these areas of Wimbledon and Putney Commons: Rushmere, Parkside, Windmill Car Park, Kingsmere, Wildcroft and Putney Heath.

Grab the kids, grab your friends or just go along and meet some like-minded people. The more the merrier!

Litter pickers, refuse bags and refreshments will be provided for every volunteer. Meet at the Windmill car park at 10am. To reserve your spot, contact Volunteering Wandsworth.

Capital Clean-Up is a campaign led by the Mayor of London as part of his Team London volunteering programme to help Londoners green and clean the city.
