Pentel recycles with exclusive Wombles toys
Stationery manufacturer Pentel has teamed up with the Wombles to promote its Recycology range of recycled plastic office products.
The company got special permission to produce a range of four collectable plush toys: Orinoco, Uncle Bulgaria, Tobermory and Madame Cholet.
The cuddly toys are about 17 cm tall, with unusually long noses. They’re wearing their familiar 1990s outfits, and are branded ‘Pentel’ on the label.
The toys are being given away free by commercial stationery suppliers when you buy promotional packs of Pentel Recycology display books, files or pens.
Sarah Harry, Pentel Commercial Marketing Executive, said: “We chose The Wombles because they are the perfect ambassadors to promote our Recycology brand. They were TV’s original environmental champions, long before consumers became passionate about recycling. Recycology includes products made from at least 50 per cent recycled materials, together with many that are either refillable or reusable – so selecting The Wombles to communicate the values of the Recycology brand makes perfect sense.”
Win a Pentel Wombles toy
One of the online shops offering the Pentel Wombles is Cult Pens, which specialises in pens, pencils and refills. Its offer is quite flexible as you can choose a free Womble with any £30 purchase from the Pentel Recycology range of pens. We’ve got two of these Wombles toys to give away, thanks to Cult Pens.
This competition has now closed. The winners were Kerry Slade and Helen Stratton, who both chose an Orinoco toy.
Terms and conditions
The closing date is 5 December 2010. The competition is open to UK residents. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
