Wombles albums reissued for Christmas?

Mike Batt has revealed on Twitter that the original Wombles albums will be re-released later this year.

A user named Philip Clarke asked Mike Batt on 18 May: “What are the chances of ‘wombling songs’ (the first album) getting a CD release? Particularly the haunting ‘wombles everywhere’.”

Mike Batt replied: “All 4 Wom albums out at Xmas on CD and Vinyl.”

A compilation CD including seven Wombles songs, A Songwriter’s Tale / The Orinoco Kid, was released this week.
